Niall O Floinn was introduced to Tai-Chi through his shaolin kung fu teacher in 1994 when he was 17 years old.

From 1994 -2002 he studied with many of the leading experts of Yang Style and Chen Style Tai Chi ,participating also in Ba Gua ,Xing Yi and Internal Strength seminars.

Niall became a student of Master Wang Hai Jun in 2002 and has continued to study intensively with him since then .Master Wang Hai Jun is recognized as the coach of the most National Champions of Taijiquan in all of China. Under his guidance for the last 9 years Niall has built on his first 8 years foundation ,improving his skills considerably and intends to continue a lifelong study,practice  and commitment to teaching others, following the lineage of 12th generation Chen Style Tai Chi Master Wang Hai Jun who was taught by Grandmaster Chen Zheng Lei.

In 2005 Niall began his teacher training programme for students who had already completed 3 years training and wished to become instructors. To ensure the highest standards of his instructors Niall guides the trainee teachers for 3 additional years every week where they assist in Niall's classes.Instructors recommended by Chen Tai Chi Ireland can be viewed on the "Instructors" page. Instructors trained in Galway must have the minimum requirement of 6 years training with Niall and have attended many seminars of Master Wang before being certified by the Galway Tai Chi Academy to teach publicly.

Presently Niall resides in Galway,Ireland where he runs a large Chen Tai-Chi Academy and teaches weekly classes and seminars in Ireland and international seminars in Italy,Spain,Argentina and Brazil.
